I usually don't wear them. I'm a pad girl but I've just started and got caught out. The machine only has tampons. How safe are they?
Answer:
use them only when needed…I dont sleep in them ore keep them for long periods of time
Answer:
perfectly safe you just have to have clean hands and wear it for the shortest time because of the dangers of toxic shock syndrome, but this is incredibly rare and the risks are stated on the pack, they take a bit of getting used to but basically you can forget your period .i have been on expeditions and without tampons would have been hell, just try and rest using them ,this happened to me at school and i was panicking so hard couldn't use then ,it helps to lift one leg up ,if you are worried just use one until you can get a towel, or asks some friends ,i bet loads of people will have a towel in there bag for emergencies, millions of women use tampax and i think they are great you can basically forget about your period,I hav e to use towels now because of a medical condition and feel like i have gone back to the dark ages ,towels are a constant reminder, i think tampons are more hygienic as you don't have old blood sitting around and when exposed to air can begin to smell, hate them good luck
Answer:
Tampons are safe.
ive used them for over a year now, and even though they’re tricky to begin off with, they do get easier.
As long as you wash your baginal area and your hands before and after using a tampon you should be safe. tampons are also asscoiated with Toxic Shock Syndrome, but this is only caused when the bacteria is in your vagina, and is very very rare.
As long as you change your tampon every 4-8 hours, keep clean then you should be fine! ![]()
Answer:
Safe as long as you change them regularly, check the directions on the pack for instructions. You can get toxic shock syndrome, this happens when people forget about them (how someone can do this is beyond me), or leave them in too long. Bacteria develops at a shocking rate and can cause this serious infection. So as long as you do what it says on the tin you'll be fine.
Answer:
They are just as safe as pads as long as you change them regularly, don't wear them for very long - and as someone else said, not a good idea to sleep with them in.
TSS Is extremely rare and as long as you don't worry and get all worked up about it.. they'll be totally fine!
Much comfier as well, Lol.
Answer:
Tampons are very safe, however, you should not leave a single tampon in for over 4 hours without changing it. This can cause “Toxic Shock Syndrome”. Symtoms to watch out for: Sudden high fever, a faint feeling, watery diarrhea, headache, and muscle aches.
Answer:
They’re not hazardous but wearing them all the time can cause a disease. But just once is fine and even all the time is fine but they state have at least one day where you wear a pad
Answer:
I have been wearing them since i started my periods 7 years ago and i dont have any problems with them
Answer:
They're really common. Not a problem. Read the intructions, don't forget about them.. you'll be fine.:D
Answer:
continual use can cause cervical cancer so its ideal to use them when u bleed heavy then towels when lighter
