Tomorrow is my first time EVER going to the gyno.
I procrastonated for such a long time now! I am so nervous.

Well it depends on what you are going for. If you are going for a regular check up here is exactly what they do.
They give you a Pap smear/Pap test/
When you go in they will have you change into a gown. You will lay back on the table and put your feet in the stirrups.
They will take a spectrum (i belive thats what is called) and they will insert it into your vagina. they will press a button a couple of times and it will open your vagina. It feels like a small amount of pressure. The spectrum looks kind of like a clear or metal duck beak.
While the spectrum is inside you the doctor will take some swab samples of your Vaginal and cervix cells with a cotton swap. He/she will then put lubrication on his finger and insert it inside of you and feel to make sure your ovaries and cervix are ok.
You will get your results within a few days. You will be fine not scary and only does it once a year.

don't freak out its ok.. I hadn't ever been until feb. and it's really not that bad.. fist they will exam. your breast make you lay down and just feel around for lumps and that sort of thing. then they will give you a pap. and all they do is insert two finger in your vigina and feel around check your cervix and them insert this thing I can't remeber what it is called but it loooks like a duck bill it don't hurt and insert a swab and get a cell sample. it's nothing to freak out about it's over with in 5 to 10 mins. hope I helped

Well, they are going to look at you vagina and stick a little scaper thing in it.

Its a cold metal thingie they put in …like the width of 3 fingers…then they swab you with a cu tip and ta da your done..all takes maybe a minute….The nurse will be in the room with the doc the whole time. Easy as pie…you have nothing to be scared about!

On the table, open legs,………..insertion of cold instrument, a small pinch like feeling and it is over. Well worth the effort and time ,don't forget to do your self breast exams !
