Ok, so Im 14 and I started my first period May 4th. Well Yesterday I started my second period. Anyways on Tuesday I’ve dance from 7-8:30 and I will still be on my period by then. I’m afraid that I might leak or something because I still wear pads (Im kinda scared to use tampons) but I'm thinking about trying tampons….because I mean I do hate paads so much, theyre disgusting. Here are my questions.
1. Think I should try tampons?
2. Will it hurt?
3. What brand is the best for starters and wont leak?
4. Any aditional advice.
Answer:
nope, they dont injured and they’re more comfortable. get the tampax slender teen ones. they are smaller than the regular ones so it wont hurt and they hold as much blood as a regular tampon would. i started off on those. there are directions in the box on how to insert it.
good luck!

Answer:
Tampons make having your period sooo much easier. Sometimes it can be easy to forget that you are even using one if inserted properly.
1. I definitely think you should at least try using them once, and if you don't like them stop using them. Just make sure to insert properly, you'll be able to tell if you didn't.
2. It will not hurt if done correctly
3. I personally use tampax, and whether or not they leak depends on if you have the right absorbency, and change it regularly
4. Just try it! I never went back to using pads. I agree with you they are disgusting! haha
Answer:
Sweetie tampons don't hurt. I think you should try them and decide for yourself if they're comfortable for you (and they should be because you can't feel them). Tampax is a good brand but it really doesn't matter which brand you use. A tampon is a tampon. And don't worry about leaks. If you change it often enough and wear the right size (Super for heavy days, Regular for normal days, or Light for light days) leaks won’t happen. You'll be ok. I'd state just try them and see what you think, you might surprise yourself. I would think tampons would be a lot more comfortable while you're dancing, too. Good luck! :o)
Answer:
My daughter was about your age when she started her period and I strongly encouraged her to immediately start using tampons, since I believe it's a large benefit. o.b. is a pretty good brand, they’ve different sizes to start with which is good for girls like you. It won't injured you, just be gentle in the beginning, read the information provided in the box and/or speak to a friend/parent about it.. Good luck!
Answer:
yessss
tampons are fantastic
it wont injured if you're relaxed, so make your you crouch when you insert it. it's really fine, and it get's easier with time. the only time it might injured is when you remove it because it has absorbed everything and therefore grown, but if you stay relaxed and keep pulling it shouldn't be a problem. make sure you dont leave it in for more than 8hrs or you could get tss
xx

1. Yes..I perfer tampons cause I hate pads, but near the end of my period when its light and during the night I use pads.
2. No it won't hurt, you might have to try it a couple times cause the first time I didn't get “in there” enough.
3. I like Playtex sport
4. Just relax cause I am 17 and some of my friends haven't even tried using one, and its good that your asking.
Answer:
1. Try a tampon. They're very comfortable one they’re inserted correct,
2. Ideal tampons to purchase are PLAYTEX GENTLE GLIDE. They’ve a plastic applicator so it slides right in and comes right out.
3. Additional advice, don't leave in for more than like 3-4 hours at a time. You don't wanna get TSS (toxic shock syndrome). (not to scare you or anything, lol)
4. Tampons are safe.

Answer:
I think that you should try tampons- there’s nothing to be afraid of tiny lady! I promise that!
It won’t hurt one bit. I remember when I was 13 and first got my period and i was terrified! I didn't want to ask my mom for help and was too shy to ask any of my friends! It might take you a few tries to get it right- Just remember that once you’ve the tampon inserted if you can feel it inside of you then it's not put properly in your body. Just remove it the way that you had inserted it & try a new one! It might take a few times at first but eventually you'll be happy you've switched!
I would use Tampax Pearl that has been the only brand that I’ve ever tried that hasn't leaked @ all.
When inserting I suggest sitting on the toilet with your legs apart. That's the easiest way to insert it properly.
If you have any other questions or need anything don't hesitate to email me! Best of luck ![]()
Answer:
A tampon might be uncomfortable if you're a virgin, but if you look for a brand that has a “slim” or “skinny” version, that’ll help. Tampax Pearl is a good brand - they're thin, the applicator is smooth and they’re really easy to insert. I advocate wearing a panty liner with the tampon as a back up though.
You could also get the “overnight” pads (they're pretty thick) for dance class. If you put a new pad on right before class, there's not much of a chance that you'll leak during the class if it's only an hour and a half.
Answer:
Tampons can be very tricky. Make sure you read the insert and try to do what the examples state. You need to make sure you’re relaxed. Don’t tense your muscles.
It doesnt injured to try them and to put them in. If the tampon is not fully saturated it may feel strange when you are trying to take it out. This just means instead of a super you need a regular absorbency.
Go to the store and get a box of playtex sport, or pearl. Try and find a box that has diff absorbency. Lite, Regular and super. This will help you figure out what flow you have.
The ideal way I’ve found is sitting on the toilet like you’re going to pee, and take the tampon, MAKE SURE YOU ARE RELAXED!!!!!! Place the tip of it in the entrance of your “you know” and easily slide it in while trying to make sure it is tilted slightly towards your spine and not off to any sides.
If you feel any discomfort during insertion try getting some Vaseline and putting a bit on the applicator. If after you put the tampon in you feel uncomfortable, take it out and try again or try another absorbency.
Good Luck sweety and also grab a pack of pantyliner, just in case of a leak. They have the ability to be devastating sometimes, so make sure you always wear one while using a tampon!!!
