Can you get legal engaged for health insurance purposes?

Answer:
You have to be married before your spouse can be put on your health insurance policy. “Engaged” doesn't mean squat to the insurance company.

Besides, there's no legal status of “engaged”. You’re either married or not married.

Answer:
I don't think there is anything as legally engaged, you are just engaged. You'd have to be married, or in some cases registered as domestic partners to be able to get a partners health benefits.

Answer:
Only marriage will qualify you to be on someone else's health insurance. There is no such thing as “legally engaged” that I am aware of. At least not here in the US.

Answer:
You need to get married for that. You should be getting engaged because you want to, though, not for the health insurance.

Answer:
Being engaged doesn't give you health insurance coverage, only marriage will sometimes qualify you.
