When getting makeup done professionally do they use the same lipsticks on every single person?

What about someone with herpes? Diseases?

They ask you what you prefer to use lip gloss or lipstick.. I had mine done and I said both they apply the lipstick on first then make it shiny with the lip gloss and I gotta say it looked great..but again if they don't ask tell them what you would prefer…
