Answer:
Good advice girls! Cystitis is horrible!

Indeed a UTI isn’t necesarilly and STD, although it can be.

Ok this is a chronic problem and really should have been sorted by now you poor thing!

Firstly you need to go back to the docs, not the emergency room but your family physician, they need to monitor your progress and decide a proper course of treatment for you.

Obviously drinking large amounts of water or sodium bicarb solution and avoiding caffeine, alcohol will help. Cranberry juice does not have enough active ingredient in it to be helpful, however cranberry capsules (available from your friendly health food store) will. Also you can buy that costly cystitis remedy over the counter, but its basically sodium bicarb and pain killers. Also a nice warm (unsoaped!) bath will help a bit.

Next, its hard (haha) but stop having sex for a while, your ill for christs sake! Let things settle down. certain positions make the likely hood of you getting another attack worse, work out which ones set you off. If you do have sex, as soon as possible go for a wee, this will flush out any e. coli (the nasty bacteria lurking in the urinary tract that will thrive on any abrasion). Get your partner checked out, there is another bacteria that’s pretty much harmless normally but can cause you to have flair ups. Its no good if youre getting meds to clear it up but then getting reinfected!

Which…is…why….you need to get proper follow up treatment with someone who is familiar with your history! If all the above isnt working they might advocate a tiny operation to mend things. letting it reoccur like this can lead to further more serious problems plus you shouldnt have to suffer like this, there’s help!

I do hope you feel better soon!

Answer:
No. Not an STD. Though some women are more likely to these (myself too unfortunately), there are things you can do to help. Try slicing down on caffeine, like pop - and make SURE you always pee after you have sex, even if you hardly have to. Sometimes the male's bacteria can get caught inside your girl parts…and it will just sit there until flushed out, often causing an infection. Don't take baths with soapy water, don't use scented soaps down there in the shower. Drinking cranberry juice once a day will help clean any bacteria out of that region too.

Answer:
a uti is not an std! you should talk with you doc, gyno, or go to a specialist to find out why you’re having so many uti's goog luck
