if i had genital warts for four years…and have been with the same person for three and a half years, could she could she still be negative of hpv?? We use a condom for 98% of the sex we have. ok well maybe 90% of the time. Sometimes we begin without a condom for a couple minutes.
Answer:
She needs to know if you’ve it and you both need to be tested by going to a doctor. Sadly, there are no blood or urine tests to determine if you have HPV aka. “genital warts”, they would have to swab or scrape the infected area where the warts are breaking out and analyze them. Herpes also causes bumps too and is also very hard to diagnose from blood and urine tests and they would have to do the same swab or scraping of the bumps and examine them to accurately diagnose it.
There is a vaccine for women that will prevent her from getting HPV, unfortunately, there isn't a vaccine for men. She needs to know because HPV can cause servical cancer in women.
