Yes it is. The large reason is that HIV people become immune to their medication and then move on to a new combination. 2 HIV people can pass on the resistance to each other, which can cut short the medications that will work for each.

yea you shouldn't. because everyone has different strains of hiv in their bodies (the virus mutates inside you) so essentially you’re re-infecting each other with different mutant viruses and that impacts your immune system.
