I was foolish and put myself into a predicament I should not have with a girl that I knew had HPV. Long story short, we very briefly had sex before reality cut through the alcohol and hormones for no more than 10 minutes. She had/has the HPV strain which caused her cervical cancer when she was younger. I do know she had the cancer successfully treated and removed, and unfortunately, this is all I know.
Due to the conflicting information I find on the web, I do not know what to think. Is it something that when exposed to, you catch for sure? I don't see anything about odds of contraction anywhere.
What should my mind-state be currently?!?!? I’m just so confused
Thanks in advance for any answers….

I found a useful website if you want more information on HPV.
http://www.cdc.gov/STD/HPV/STDFact-HPV.h…
I'd be reassured by this: “In 90% of cases, the body’s immune system clears the HPV infection naturally within two years.” And then the chances you got it decreases the chance. Doe's she still have HPV? I'm also assuming you didn't use a condom.
If you're concerned though, go the doctor for a check, they've seen it all before and what you tell them is confidential by law. A test could really put your mind at ease instead of constantly worrying about it.
Answer:
Your a man, it won't hurt you!. Stop freakin out, She has the cervical cancer stran( you dont have a cervix) chill out! no biggy, you probably already have a strand of hpv like everyone else who had sex. I promis! your fine. Men cannot get tested so, There’s no way to tell unless its a diffrent strand. She has the cancer type.
Answer:
guys CANNOT get tested for hpv therefore if they do have it they will never know and there is nothing you can do it will go away by itself within 2 years.
Answer:
If you were brieflyl exposed to HPV you probably contracted it. Go get checked out. Your mind-state should be “I”M ******* SCARED” lol!

Men are only carriers. It does nothing to them.
But they spread it to others.
Answer:

what were you thinking?
Answer:
go get tested. Its the only way u will know

Answer:
Assume that you’ve contracted it. What’s foolish is that you don't use condoms each and every time. People wonder why the CDC estimates 1 in 4 or 5 adults have herpes. Guess why, pal?
On the plus side, at least for you, HPV is less apt to cause you problems. Penile cancer appears to be caused by HPV, but has only been seen in uncircumcised men (mostly in Europe, so far). Do some research though. A report I saw on the news only 2 or 3 weeks ago indicated that oral cancer in men may also be caused by HPV.
