and no it doesn't look like herpes or warts what else can it be? it's a small non'tender bump

As I don't think it could be herpes cold sores as those usually appear on the outside.. but I think it's just a painless bump that we get when stressed out or eating too much salty foods. Infact, I had one for 2 days atleast 2 days ago and it went down and went away. I have no scarring or any of that, and I have been stressed out so bad and eat a lot of salty foods so it seemed to be the reason.

Hi I have one too that is about 5mm in diameter without any pain and feels like it might just have a fatty deposit or something in it. I was at the doc's getting my freckles/skin checked and I showed him. He said it was fairly common and harmless and that I could keep it. He is also a trianed skin docter that cuts things like that out..so it could be one of those. I also got it after I bit a lip or damaged skin I think about 2 years ago. I would still get it checked next time you go the the docter though. Hope that helps Carla

If it is not herpes or warts then it might be an ulcer caused by stress/trauma, salty foods or biting your lip. Nothing serious, it should go away in less than two weeks. If not, consult a doctor. But more than likely that is probably what you have.
