How do people get AIDS?

Author: admin

i know it can be acquired through sexual contact but i am wondering if a couple, neither of them has HIV virus could still get the chance of having AIDS or if AIDS can only be acquired through having sexual intercourse with someone who is inflicted with the HIV virus?

so if 2 persons, neither of them have HIV or any kind of sexual diseases, would they not be inflicted with AIDS when they make love?

can aids only be acquired through having sex with someone who has the virus and never with someone who doesn't have it?

THANKS in advance!

Answer:
You can only get HIV (virus that can lead to AIDS) from someone who has HIV. The virus does not appear out of nowhere. You can not get HIV from someone who does not have HIV. If 2 people don’t have HIV, there is no way that they have the ability to get HIV from having sex with each other.

HIV is transmitted by unprotected sex with someone who has HIV, sharing needles for drug use with someone who has HIV, or it can be transmitted from an infected woman to her child during pregnancy, delivery, or breastfeeding.

All of that said, most people who have HIV have no symptoms for several years. You can not tell if someone has HIV just by looking at them. The only way to find out if you have HIV is to get an HIV test.
It is very important to remember that once someone is infected, they can pass the virus on to other people, even if they themselves have no symptoms.

Also: HIV kills CD4 cells, which are blood cells that help us fight infections. Once the CD4 cell count drops to 200 or below, the diagnosis of AIDS is given.

Answer:
AIDS is a medical condition that arises from an infection with a specific virus called HIV. In order for someone to get AIDS, they have to be infected by the HIV virus. That can be through sexual behavior, like you mentioned, but it can also happen during birth, if the mother is infected, while a mom breastfeeds her child if the mom is infected, and through blood to blood contact, which could happen by accidental needlesticks in by a medical professional or when drug users share needles.

If two uninfected people have unprotected sex, then cannot give the virus to each other and no one will wind up with AIDS. However, just because one partner is monogamous and is not sleeping around, that person can still get the virus through drug use, or even if they’d a blood transfusion in the past. It is ideal to always practice safe sex, no matter what.

Answer:
well yeah…if u have HIV and the person u are having sex w/ has it u will get it of course….through sexual intercourse because once they make a *connection* the sperm or saliva or w/e way they’re doing it will make itself into the other hosts body and over the years as the HIV gets worse and worse it eventually turns to AIDS which is the worst stage of HIV

IN ORDER TO PREVENT YOURSELF YOU HAVE TO:
1) stay abstinent until marriage
2) make sure whoever it is you’re coming in contact w/ has no diseases
3) before you become sexually in contact during marriage take an HIV test or any other test to make sure it's okay to *you know* w/o getting infected
4) make absolute sure that you stay in the room w/ your wife/husband so you know the results of the test….so when they come out and you ask them you know…they don't lie to you and give you whatever it is they’ve

HOPE THIS HELPS:-)

Answer:
HIV is spread through bodily fluids including blood. You and your partner need to be tested regularly. And it counts as far as whom you have both been with in the past..even many years in the past, not just yesterday!! So go for testing, get educated, and be safe. You only get one life, make it a long and healthy one.

Answer:
The (HIV) human immunodeficiency virus is acquired by more than just sexual contact, that's just ONE of the ways it is spread.

Contracting HIV means you will die of AIDS. It's a progressive disease. HIV can be hidden in the body for a long period of time. Initially, the only symptoms may be flu-like. The virus causes AIDS which is a disease in which the immune system begins to fail and chronic illness begins. On average, it takes about 7 to 9 years for symptoms to develop into AIDS. Symptoms can include: severe loss of weight, fever, headaches, drenching night sweats, fatigue, severe diarrhea, shortness of breath, and difficulty in swallowing. The symptoms are usually episodic and can last for weeks or months at a time. AIDS is the sixth leading cause of death among young men and women. The virus is fatal involving a long, painful death. Usually people who have AIDS die from a easy infection (that wouldn’t be a problem with a healthy person) because their body is no longer able to fight off any infections.

So to answer your question, you must contract HIV before it progresses to AIDS.
