Can you please write down a brief description of herpes?
Answer:
Herpes can look any thing like little pimples, grape like clusters of blisters, to paper cuts or huge open sores. The blisters are typically raised and filled with fluid.
Cold sores (caused by oral herpes) can also look like acne, small blisters on the mouth, or open cuts or lesions.
Herpes whitlow (finger herpes) usually looks like little blisters occurring on the fingers.
Herpes usually has symptoms such as painful itching, burning and or tingling symptoms at the site of the out break. With oral herpes you would see a little raised pimple that can break out into a blister or sore. With genital herpes there can also be flu like symptoms (with headaches, and or back aches, fever), swollen genitals, trouble and or burning pain when peeing.
Herpes symptoms take 2-20 days after coming into contact with some one who has either oral or genital herpes. It can take longer for symptoms to show as the herpes virus can lie dormant in your body for long periods of time, even after contracting it. The out break typically lasts from 1-2 weeks depending on severity. Treatment is usually suppressive therapy such as Valtrex or other antiviral medication prescribed by a physician. Also Lysine, a more natural suppressant can be used to treat herpes out breaks.
Answer:
he textbook symptom of genital herpes is a cluster of small fluid-filled blisters that break, forming painful sores that crust and heal during several days. Affected areas include the penis, scrotum, vagina, vulva, urethra, anus, thighs, and buttocks.
But many people don't get these sores. Some people have no symptoms at all, while others get symptoms that can be easily mistaken for razor burn, pimples, bug bites, jock itch, hemorrhoids, an ingrown hair, or a vaginal yeast infection.
After you're infected, the symptoms go away, but can flare up from time to time. Luckily, the first outbreak usually is the worst. And some people might have just one or two outbreaks in their lifetime.
Answer:
Herpes is characterized as a viral STD which causes lesions of the genitals that can be passed on to others. Herpes is incurable yet can be containable and usually has outbreaks where the lesions are visible to the human eye and other times not.
The ideal way to know if you have herpes is to see a doctor and check your genital area for bumps, lesions, or sores.
