Condom for oral sex?

Author: admin

So, my last boyfriends (only had 2) were both virgins when we got together, and as we were both faithful, protection was only ever a pregnancy issue. We started off using condoms, but I went on the pill with my second boyfriend (we were together over 2 years).

The other night, I got my first experience of casual sex (and it was great!).

We used a condom (several!) for sex, but nothing for oral.

I know I'm clean (my doc offers me a chlamydia test every time I go in), and the guy I was with didnt strike me as particularly rampant or negligent (condom was put on promptly without me having to say anything), but as I'm shifting to more high risk sexual behaviour, I was wondering what current opinion is?

I'm not planning on sleeping around majorly, and am starting up a (very) casual relationship with this bloke, but want to be aware of the risks

Definately use a condom

Answer:
You should always wear protection for sex. I wouldn't assume that someone is clean. As for oral you can still get stds that way. I have never used a condom for oral but obviously the more you do the safer you are.

Answer:
They make flavored condoms for a reason. I prefer the orange flavored ones.

Answer:

Answer:
u know that u are clean for clamidia but u don't know about the rest. there is still a rist of getting an std in from unprotected oral sex. use the flavoured condoms. if it is a casual relationship then who knows who else this guy is sleeping with and what he has. get yourself tested for more than just clamidia. u can get an std from giving and receiving oral sex.

Answer:
You can get a sexual transmitted disease every time you have skin on skin contact with your genitalia or mouth.

For example mouth-penis, mouth-vagina, penis-vagina, penis-anus.

If one partner has a STD, then the likelihood of the other getting it without using protection is high, possibly on first contact.

The likelihood of a random person having a STD is low, however you are not selecting partners at random, you are selecting partners who are likely to say "yes", which significantly increases their likelihood of having a STD.

There is a large (!) number of STDs, I posted a link below, many of them are not life threatening and can be cured.

However some easy to get STDs e.g. herpes cannot be cured and will negatively affect your entire life. There are also STDs which cannot be cured and are lethal.

Using the pill as a contraceptive is not a 100% guarantee that you won't get pregnant.

It is possible to get pregnant if some of his semen touches the outside of your vagina.
