Yes…because there’s Herpes Type 1 (which is cold sores), and Herpes Type 2 (which is usually anything but cold sores, lol). So yes you can get infected without having sex…you can get it even if you are wearing a condom because a condom doesn't cover everything. You should get tested thats how you would know.
