Ok, this may sound confusing so I'll try and be as simple as possible.
I've had sex (intercourse) with this guy only twice ever, and only in the last week or so.
He's just told me that the last girl that he slept with has 'something' and yes, he gave it to her. But the last time they had sex was ages ago and I know this because the guy is one of my best friends, and I know he's not lying.
Also, we're CERTAIN that he gave it to her, (not that she slept with someone else and got it from them).
So now I have to go to the doctor and get tested and I want to know what the doctor will do, and if they will be able to find something.
I'm worried that I might have something and they won't be able to find it because [the other girl] has ONLY JUST FOUND OUT/realised that she had it, and I only had sex in the last couple of weeks.
Is this time too short? Do I need to wait for it to develop or something? I'm scared because I don't want to get sores or anything like that.
Any info/advice?
Answer:
well when you say "something" what do you mean??
the incubation time obviously depends on the type of std ..so noone will be able to tell you if it is too soon or not…in the end you have to go get it checked out as soon as possible and if they dont find anything then go back in a month or so…
also …why would you sleep with your best friend and if he is such a best friend why wouldnt he tell his best friend (you) that he has an std?? you could sue him for that….
Answer:
go in asap
Answer:
just go to your doc pronto
Answer:
No one on Yahoo can give you an accurate answer, we don't know. Honestly, get it checked out by a doctor.
Answer:
stds dont just show up like that
it can take weeks or so for any std to show up
Answer:
Go get tested! They might take swabs of "up there" or blood samples. They will ask some simple questions and tell them what you think you might have. Sometimes it takes STDS a long time to break out. The sooner you find out you have something the faster you can get treatment.
Answer:
Just go the doc asap. It's probably been long enough to show up. Ask your doc when you go if you should come back in a couple weeks to checked again.
Answer:
i say you just go to docotor for a check up, it's never too early..but might be too late!!!
Answer:

Answer:

Answer:
go to the doctor but i have one question.
if you knew that he had that, then why did you sleep with him?
Answer:
Just go to your doctor. You need medical advice.
Answer:
If you know what it it….and you tell the doc…they will know what to look for.
Answer:
This is very simple…It is only starting to develop…Do not be scared. You caught it early so it is treatable. Go to your doctor and he will tell you whether you have STDs or not. If you do then all he will do is provide you with antibiotics. They are guarenteed to work. They will kill the developping STDs. Just make sure that you take the full dose of Antibiotics or they may come back stronger. Don't worry about it. I am guarenteed all he will do is the antibiotics in health class we were given a huge lecture about STDs.
Hope I helped.
Answer:
Next time use a condom and you won't be in this mess. Go to the doctor immediately tell them whatever the std is that the other girl has they will be able to subscribe you something for it. don't sleep with that guy ever again he's nasty and he should be ashamed of himself he's going around sleeping with girls spreading his infection.
Answer:
If you are speaking of herpes, there is a blood test that can be done. However, without an outbreak, doctor is probably going to make you return for more check-ups. It could take some time for the sores to appear. If you do have this, you need to abstain for a while. You also need a HIV test.
Answer:
the Doctor will probably get a urine or blood sample and do tests on it to determine what you have if you have it and ask you to return when the tests are complete!!
Answer:
this one is easy: GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!!!
Answer:
don't be stupid…see a Dr. ASAP
Answer:
the guy should ovbiously know what it is that he had, if knows that he gave it to someone else, so you should be able to tell the doctor what to check for , but no I would go to the doctor immediately. It is very important to get things like this delt with quickly so that they don't cause worse problems.
Answer:
plz get tested and b mor careful
Answer:
If its HIV the doctor won't be able to detect it for three months, but I think most other diseases will show up in a week or so through a blood test…
as for symptoms, often there arn't any for a while
Answer:
i would say first of all be more careful next time. you should do whats best and go to the doctor every so often if you know that the guy you had sex with has STD then the doctors might have a better lead which means that the know more of what their looking for
Answer:
dont stress out. go to the doctor. tell the dr what happened and he'll know what to do.
Answer:
You need to get medical advise as soon as possible
You don't say what STD this girl has. Obviously the biggest worry is HIV and unfortunately there is a a "window perriod" of about 6 weeks between being infected and when the results will turn up positive.
In any event get medical advise ASAP
Answer:
Why would one of your best friends knowingly sleep with you without telling you FIRST that he gave some other girl an STD!?
Did he get checked out for it?
If you know what the disease is, you can tell the doctor and maybe get you started on an antibiotic or something- I don't know, never been in your shoes…
You really need to get to the doc right away. And maybe find a new best friend. And start using condoms, genius.
Answer:
They will swab your vaginal area…. they will send it in for a test. they will also probably test blood… now if you are worried about AIDS then yes you should wait at least 30 days since you have had sex with him, if it comes up negative, they will retest you in 30 more days if that's what he has given to her…
Answer:
While I applaud him for telling you this….it would help if he told you what he had! Go to an STD clinic and get checked out before having sex again. Make sure he gets himself to a clinic as well or you will end up giving it back to one another. Some STDs do cause sores, like herpes, however many lay dormant in people who are 'carriers' - that is they just pass them on to other rather than showing the disease themselves. STDs can affect your fertility, so go to a doctor and they will do an examination and take urine and blood samples for testing as well as offer condoms and any treatments necessary. Good luck.
Answer:
don't worry about it. just have sex with more people.
Answer:
the doctors will be able to find out if you go and get tested even if you just had intercourse. the chances are, if what you say is correct, that you do have an std. unless the guy you had sex with some how got rid of it.
