Should I do a 10-minute cardio warm-up on the bike, elliptical or treadmill before working out? Will it help me lift more?
Answer:
You should always warm up, even before you stretch. Warming up does exactly what it says– brings more blood flow to the muscles, makes them less stiff. A quick jog followed by stretching would be enough to make you more flexible and less apt to get hurt. And remember, it's really important to stretch after you work out, in addition to before.
