My boyfriend is a super touch guy and refuses to wear a nut cup when he plays sports because he states they are for wimps. Well, he is a baseball player and last night he got drilled right in the balls by a line drive. He didn’t fall down or anything and just shook off the pain and kept playing (he even hit a home run later!). However, later in the night his balls swelled up really bad. They are still swollen this day but he insists he is fine and won’t go to a physician. Should he go see one?
Answer:
No matter how much your boyfriend might think Athletic Cups are for wimps, they're not. They're meant to protect the testicles against serious damage that can be done during sports and injuries such like the one he sustained are avoided. Though he may be saying he's fine, he has to be saying in his mind what a mistake that was. Have him sit in a tub as hot as he can take it at least once a day. Have him massage the testicles gently and wear loose clothing so as not the cause anymore swelling or pain. If after a week the testicles are still swollen or are even bigger, even if it's against his will, take him to a doctor. If the swelling is nearly gone in a week, then leave it be. Sometimes with hits like that, there is an increase in scrotal fluids and the swelling is caused by that. Sometimes just by the hit of the object. If you feel access fluid in them after some time, a draining is most likely necessary. If you feel any deep bruises or lumps, have him go to the doctor.
Try to persuade him to purchase an athletic cup so he doesn't rupture and destroy his testicles. Though it's his decision, what he does now will affect his whole groin area and his future wife. If he wants to have children, he needs to protect his scrotum, and even if he doesn't, for the sake of him and for his money, he needs to because having his scrotum removed is painful and expensive. Try to bring down his ego and get him to a physician if the swelling doesn't go down or continues. Continue speaking to him about the safety of his well-being and things. Tell him it won't hurt his ego if he wears an athletic cup. Hope this helps.

Sorry to state this, but your boyfriend is an idiot. I doubt he would state that professional ball players are wimps, and yet they all wear protection.
He's risking his fertility by refusing to wear a cup. He should go to the doc, just to be on the safe side, but I suppose in his mind that's probably too girly too.
Answer:
Your super touched guy should see a shrink. Wearing ball protection isn't a sign of being a wimp, it's a sign of wanting to be a man and not a eunuch.
Answer:
Yeah, I would strongly recommend he see a doctor!
Well on a side note…its kinda scary that he didn't fall or cry. When at the doctor ask for a gender examination, maybe they marked it wrong on his birth certificate.
Answer:
HAHAHA BASEBALL AND BASEBALL PLAYER R SO GAY HE DOSENT WEAR A CUP CUZ HE PROBULY DOSENT HAVE A DICK
Answer:
well, if they're just swollen and he's not in excrusciating pain… just ice 'em. but if he got hit so hard he can't ejaculate, go see a physician.
Answer:
Just at least tell him to smack (not literally) some ice on them for a while, and the swelling should go away on its own.

Most coaches require players wear a cup for protection. If your bf thinks they are wimps how does he feel now?
