I am currently 21 years old. I have always been really upset about how short I am when I am around my friends, which are all above 6'0''. When I was 18 I was about 5'9''; however, when I turned 20 I was 5'10''-5'11'', and it has been that way since.

I am curious if it is still possible for me to become taller? I was hoping to reach 6'0'' or maybe a little taller.

I have been told by my doctor that I stop growing at 18, but I have since discovered that this is not the case. Also, most of the men in my family are above 6'0'' in height. This being my dad, and his father averaging 6'1'' to about 6'2''. My mom's dad is about 6'9''. I am currently aware that most of my family reaches these heights, so is it still possible for me to grow a little more?

Answer:
By 21, your long bones, e.g. thighs, legs, etc. have likely stopped growing. There is actually a formula that we use to predict the expected final height of a child, based solely on the parents' heights, mom & dad…. if you google "predicting height formula" or "height prediction" I'm sure you'll find a site that will allow you to enter their respective heights and it will give you the "average" expected height for a boy or a girl in the given parents.

Answer:
It's possible. If your worried about 2 inches in height, then you probably have other concerns you need to look into.

Answer:
until you're 25, it is possible.
