Nearly all guys have their first sexual experience around 12 or 13, having solo sex (masturbation). Same physically as having intercourse, just using a hand instead of a vagina for the sexual stimulation of the penis.
Virginity really only applies to girls since they have a physical membrane than must be ruptured upon penetration by the penis.
Guys in general should abstain from sexual intercourse with a girl until they’ve a clue what they are doing, and the ramifications of all the possible dangers of consensual sex— primarily pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease. STDs are not really an issue with first timers unless they’re having sex with someone that is sexually experienced— many guys years ago had their first sex with prostittutes, which wasn’t a good idea of course.
Pregnancy is the BIG ONE for teens to be concerned with, and looking at some of the questions that have popped up over the last couple of years on Answers, it's scary that guys are so misinformed about their own bodies and about the female anatomy. If you’re are normal horny teen guy, read up all you can on male and female puberty and sexual reproduction. Yes- it does just take once to get a girl pregnant, though rare. But can happen. While I would normally give you a cliche answer like “oh you should lose it when you are ready”, here is what I think is a good age to lose it.
I suggest 18 or 19. Wait until you’re out of high school before you begin having sex. Nothing is worse than getting a girl pregnant when you are a minor. Also, if you can't support another person, then you should not.
